Therefore, those with WAP network plans (such as TMobileWeb users, Airtel NOP users) are unable to use JAVA programs that require internet access (such as Opera Mini, Google Maps, ...).

However, Nokia does allow users to create a provisioning document on their computer. This document, created in wbxml, specifies an access point along with a proxy. The S40 phone recognizes the configuration settings in the document and allows the JAVA midlet to use those instead, thereby allowing the midlet to access the proxy. Its very simple to implement.

The files included in the zip provide some sample xml documents, and the associated provisioning (.prov) files.

Click here to download Nokia S40 proxy settings for JAVA applications ZIP file

figure it out yourself, genius.
NokiaJAVAProxy.wml: The wml file that you can edit if you need/want different proxy settings.
NokiaJAVAProxy.prov: The actual binary wbxml provisioning file that should be sent to your phone (via bluetooth or usb). This can NOT be manually edited.

---------------------------------
QUICK START:
1: Push the "NokiaJAVAProxy.prov" file to your phone using Bluetooth. send the file via "Send File..." option only do not copy paste to your phone ("object push", not file transfer). If your are unable to do it, just transfer it to any bluetooth supported phone and send that file via bluetooth to your phone.

2: The phone will recognize the configuration settings, and will prompt you to save them. Don't worry if it says "no supported applications".

3: Go to Settings->Configuration->Default Config. Settings, and change the default config to [the name of the configuration we just loaded].

That's it! JAVA midlets like Opera Mini, Google Maps, MGMaps, etc... should work now.

Detailed README file is inside the zip file.Praveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com41tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-29030525607029045792007-06-02T01:35:00.000-07:002007-06-02T01:37:54.646-07:00Hide unwanted images from galleryHiding these images is extremely simple and can be done for free with my favorite freeware browser - Y-Browser

First open Y-browser and select [options] -> [search files]. Now in the “Filename” field, input a picture title followed by “.*” as pictured below (since you don’t know what format the picture is). Then select [Options] -> [Start search]. You do not need to do this if you know the directory where the images are stored of course.

Once you have found your file in the list of search results, highlight it and select [Options] -> [File] -> [Attributes].

Now simply change “System” and “Hidden” to yes and select [Save].

repeat same for all files you want to be hide.

and finally restart the phone.Praveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-86746934176036447942007-06-02T01:23:00.000-07:002007-06-02T01:34:38.121-07:00archive all your SMS messages on the Gmail accountsave your phone memory archive sms

Psiloc GSync allows you to automatically archive all your SMS messages on the Gmail™ account. Open your file manager and navigate to Z:\resource\Fonts

2. Check the names of the files (these are the fonts that are actually used); they have extension .ttf and most likely they are nosnr60.ttf, nssb60.ttf, nstsb60.ttf and S60ZDIGI.ttf; write them down, you’ll need them later

3. On your memory card create a folder called resource and inside it a folder called Fonts

4. Copy the new fonts to the Fonts folder on your memory card (there are numerous fonts available on the internet for free; try a few of them, experiment and see which fits the best)

5. Rename them in the following order: – nosnr60.ttf regular (normal) font – nssb60.ttf bold font – nstsb60.ttf font for titles

Note: if your font files have different names rename them accordingly. Font names on your memory card must match those on phone memory in Z:\resource\Fonts.

6. Reboot the phone

If you want to switch back to the default font simply erase the whole resource folder from your memory card. If you take your memory card out of the phone the default font will be used.

A Software can also increases font sizes use it for any s60...

Software: Font Magnifier
avialable at: http://shop.psiloc.comPraveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-50284457197435961982007-03-24T22:29:00.000-07:002007-03-24T22:33:42.022-07:00Free SMS gateway numbersFrom your telephone you can send SMS messages of 160 char. max. to another GSM phone

Your message will be sent through an SMS Center (usually the one that gave your provider)

You pay a little fee depending of your provider, BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY something

In order for sending SMS without paying anything, you got to change your SMS Center number with these one

+491722270300 or +358405202999 or +352021100003Praveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com37tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-13744462300620878012007-03-24T22:25:00.000-07:002007-03-24T22:27:56.880-07:00Revealing Headphone and Car-Kit MenusTo enable the headset-function, you have to short-circuit the "3" and "4". Go to -> Control Panel -> Select Phone and Modem options.

2. Install a new modem on your computer. Do not allow the computer to detect a Plug and Play modem. Instead, select the Standard 33600 modem that is available as one of the default choices. (Don't worry - it will connect at 115 kbps, not 33.6 kbps).

3. Install the modem on any COM port that is available.

4. Once the modem is installed, select it and click on Properties. Install System Tools, open it and select "Flight mode". This way you can restart the phone without your SIM card so there will be no running phone tasks in the background. Now you can have up to 3,5 MB of free RAM!

Note: ironically enough, Flight mode doesn't work when Smart Launcher is installed, at least in my case.
But i've also heard several reports of people who have both apps running without any problems.

>>> Method 2: Smart Launcher trick:

Install Smart Launcher and open it. Go to Options, Settings and put Launcher ON.
Now plug in your charger and switch off your phone. Wait until the battery meter appears and short press the Menu button (don't hold).
The menu should appear and now you can have 3,5 to 4,5 MB free RAM! (Hold Menu button to check RAM).

The trick is that with the charger plugged in, the phone must get a minimum software support for charging, even when
the phone is switched off. And somehow Smart Launcher has still got it's shortcut running and that's the Menu button. So when
you press the Menu button, you go directly to the Menu without any other phone tasks running in the background so
you trick the phone and you have more free RAM!
Note: when you unplug the charger, the phone will switch off.

>>> Method 3: Menu :

it frees a little about 100~200 KB but I guess it's useful sometime

Close your menu not by selecting the right selection key "exit", or pressing the menu key another time, they only hide the menu app but do not close it, to close it select the left selection key "option" and scroll down and select "exit"

So when you open an app needs more ram reopen menu and close it, it's useful when play low bit rate video in real player paradise.

Praveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-1164703635850556432006-11-28T00:37:00.000-08:002007-03-05T05:14:58.967-08:00Make Free Calls to anywhere in the world(mobile or landline)

--> Install any of the following...
Gizmo project.... from http://www.gizmoproject.com
Skype.... from http://www.skype.com
Globe7.... from http://www.globe7.com

then dial 18003733411 and follow the instructions...
Its free no balance required to make
call to this number...

for details.. . visit http://www.free411.comPraveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-1164702912078538002006-11-28T00:20:00.000-08:002007-03-05T05:15:34.233-08:00E-Mail links--> GMail...
http://m.gmail.com
http://gmobile.sayni.net

--> Rediffmail
http://mobile.rediff.com

--> Yahoo...
http://wap.yahoo.com

--> WAP search engine
http://wapmeter.com

--> OceanLake gateway
http://oceanlake.comPraveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-1164702007683225292006-11-28T00:06:00.000-08:002007-03-05T05:17:02.752-08:00Free Downloads to Mobile--> Point out your mobile browser to http://www.mmsjunction.com
You can download the content for free... but GPRS/3G charges
may apply depend on your network.

--> tagtag.wap --- a free personal wap creator... and free downloads

--> wap.getjar.com ---- all the stuff for your java supproted phone.

You can download the content for free... but GPRS/3G charges
may apply depend on your network.Praveen Kumarhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02904122285830907627noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35547694.post-1162395237975558762006-11-01T07:07:00.000-08:002007-03-05T05:17:46.990-08:00Free SMS to mobile
Hmmm... this offering by many websites..

SMS to India Mobiles

http://www.atrochatro.com

http://www.smsjunction.com

SMS to World wide Famous Networks

http://www.google.com/sendtophone

....
